Does anybody able to use it with the game?

I've been using for the game since release and now today I keep disconnecting before the character selection screen everytime I use it, I can happily get in without the program.

Just wondering if any other fellow WTFast users are getting the same problem.

I live in Australia so its kinda important to me.

Can you clarify what WTFast is?

I play from Australia with no lag issues with the game, and I don't know what WTFast is. LOL

Think of it as a gamer's VPN.

It gives the most help to people far from the server location.

WTFast is like a proxy that can lower your ping for all types of games. My ping playing AA is usually around 300+ but with this i can get it down to 210.

And yes I have already contacted the support staff about it

Playing on NA naima. I know my ping is high cause of the delay when i press something, when i use WTFast is nearly instant. Just unfortunate its not working now...Not sure why

WTFast and other VPN clients are also used by hackers so their own public IP doesn't get banned if caught......

Wouldn't surprise me if Trion where trying to detect these VPN connections and closing them down.....

Some guildies of mine use this and yeah they can't anymore. Pretty sure hackers used something else to get their plots so stupid fast and not this. So this is just hurting players that need to use it or they won't have as good a connection for PVP. It'd be nice if Trion could look into this and fix it.

Wrong, most tunnelling services i.e. Smoothping, Battleping, WTFast etc. all use your main IP address now and have been doing so for the past 6 years or so. VPN programs are a different beast all together.

Oh lordy, Do the math on distance from AU to EU and then do the math from AU to Texas based on line services and line length. Let me make it simple for you, our ping would be double if not triple to EU compared to US....

There's AU for one and also for guilds that have people from all over the world like mine. Have to pick one server so it's typical not everyone gets the best performance.

I had been using it in NA from the netherlands before I switched to eu servers. Had no disconnecting issues was nice and smooth.

You guys probably testing latency if you are to use this program. Tell me what address are you using to test AA?

Man :( All I can say is it must suck playing main stream games and not having local servers. I feel for ya if my ping is over 35-40ms i start getting pissy doing ping tests and getting nutty checking my hardware lol.

The distance in a straight line from the game servers to Australia is roughly
8181 miles / 13166.04 km...
for a lil ping to do a trip back n forth through god knows how many inneficient routes thats a round trip of
26k kilometres / 16k miles in a best case scenario.
battleping,wtfast, etc.etc are tunneling scripts that merely direct your ping down the most optimal path . lowering the ping sightly for us poor people on the other side of the planet.
Thats why I dont pvp really...its a waste of time...im half dead by the time I even realise im under attack lol.
My new isp does have adsl profiles thou...since their whole marketing approach is to cater to gamers (internode).

lol neways sorry for long post...just a little window into the lives of us poor gamers down under and our daily struggles to try enjoy our gaming...and deff hope trion never trys to ban some of us that have to resort to tunneling scripts to try to even the playing field to a somewhat decent level.

Well that's just great. They ban people for this which isn't even a hack and yet there's bots and much worse running around without punishment. This might also explain some of the incorrect bans going around.

So, who is using wtfast ? I'm still deciding whether to buy it or not. Need a clear results from experienced users.

on the wtfast page it only says archea NA and RU.Are you playing on the NA server ?

NL loves Zuid-Afrika, that`s why :-)

So have we had an answer from Trion regarding their stance on using WTFast?
Several of us are playing on a NA server with friends but the connection seems very inconsistent, with frequent lag spikes so I'm interested to see if something like WTFast would help a bit (that is if it's allowed and won't get me banned).

As for WTFast, battleping is far superior. Dc's every 20min for free users. Tons of servers. As a streamer and a massive lagger it works the best for me by far.

It's only free for the first month, then you have to pay for it. That may be the case.

I have used WTFast from Early alpha and it was my way of fixing the NA lag, now with the EU servers my ping go from 21 to 7 So its amazing xD

Had to use this in ffxiv due to squenix stupidity.
This might help your chances of clicking a demolished house before another player. Sad that it might be needed..

I keep getting this problem as well. Did you manage to find a fix for it?

scapes had said he didnt prohibit using wtfast nor battleping so it is ok to use.

Anyone able to use WTFast after the 2.5 patch? The God is always disconnecting me whenever I try to use it.

You have to wait for wtfast to update there client to compensate the change to archeage wait a day or two it will work again.

Mine's been working fine since the patch released, try completely closing WTFast and maybe even restarting your PC. I've had disconnection issues in the past at server select and fully closing the program with task manager always fixed it for me.

I had a friend that was permanently banned. They told him it was for using a third party program. He said he didn't. I don't know if he was or wasn't using a 3rd party program, but WTFast IS a 3rd party program.

Best connection with WTfast

I can give you the info of my experience using WTFast from Beijing. I have been using it for about 5 months, demo, basic and pro.
The last week has been terrible with so much packet loss but has still been better than no WTFast. It sounds similar to you your experience so it may be a common routing problem.
I have found no benefit from using chained servers, often the connection would go bad quicker and need router resting quicker than using a single server.
I found that I needed to test each SG server to find the most stable. For me this was until recently, SG8 but now it is SG7.
I generally test by using the training mission to gauge the stability and then tab out of the game and look at the WTFast graphs to check ping and packet loss.
I have found that the connections only stay stable for a variable given time before I have to reset my router. Some times, especially last week, it is impossible to get a completely stable connection.
I would say it is just a matter of trial and error. I use a program called DNS Jumper to flush the DNS cache, which along with router reseting, helps with getting a more stable connection.

It has been a very long time, but well worth the wait. We are really excited to announce the release of our new WTFast Beta 4.0 build. Why is this new build so amazing? This new build enables support for many games that we have been unable to support until now! For example, our new Beta build should now work with:

Battlefield series and other FPS games, MechWarrior Online... and any other game you might have had technical problems with in the past. We recommend giving our Beta a try, it is possible to run it beside the regular version of WTFast so you can easily switch back and forth.

Important: While our new beta will now support more games, some of these games will have IP mismatch problems with our server automation logic that we need to work out. Because of this, we recommend that you manually pick WTFast servers for these problem games. We recommend:

- With single server connections, manually picking a single server close to the game server.
- With multi-server connections, leave "Select Optimal WTFast Server 1" (don't change), manually pick Server 2 close to the game server you will play on.

New WTFast Release 3.5.6.448

We would like to announce the new release of WTFast 3.5.6.448! It is already available for download; this week we will be making it available as an optional build. We have added some cool new features to this build:
1. We have added an AutoSelect Advanced calculation to the connection graph (blue line) for free/basic users. This is to show what your WTFast stats would be like if you were to be using the advanced version of WTFast. Our users frequently asked if they could test out WTFast advanced so they could see what benefit they would receive. Now you can actually see it!
2. Connection Exclusions: We have now added a client-side learning function that will monitor the performance of the connection provided by our autoselect system. If we notice the performance was not very good during your last play session, we will exclude that connection from auto selection for you over the next 24 hours. There is a "connection exclusion" menu item on the stats screen so you can see what is happening.
3. Improved connection stats calculation: We noticed with our last build that often WTFast was firing red alerts when a connection was actually pretty good. We have tweaked the connection stats logic so it is a better representation of when your stats are actually good. i.e. low average ping, low ping spikes and low packet loss.


Coming Soon to WTFast

Very soon we will be launching the new WTFast beta engine. What is super cool about this is that it will allow us to support many problem games that we have not been able to support in a long time. The new engine is far more robust and should allow WTFast to support every game on the market.

Improved connection intelligence and automation is coming soon! One of the largest challenges we have is the dynamic nature of the Internet. We are flipping the Internet upside down, optimizing the data flow from client's perspective. Our goal is to provide a plug and play solution that will provide the best possible results, all the time. Our goal for the WTFast GPN is to be like a global automated IT army, all working together to optimize your connection from end to end. This is a very challenging problem, and this automation technology is still pretty new so it is far from perfect. When our automation fails, we automatically revert to using a WTFast server that is close to you. The problem is that often the server close to you is not going to provide you with optimal results. This may result in no improvement, or even a worse connection with WTFast. There is also a chance that trace obfuscation could cause WTFast automation to fail to provide an optimal connection.

When WTFast Automation Fails, Pick a Server Manually
In the future, we plan to show a tray notification when WTFast has to revert to using a server close to you. The next time you connect to the game, we will try automatically optimizing your connection again, but if you see us frequently reverting to a server close to you, we recommend trying to pick a WTFast server manually instead.

When you manually pick a WTFast server, we recommend trying a server that is close to the game server first, with (choose best) selected to make sure you pick the best server at that location. If that doesn't give you good results, you can also try a server close to you. Advanced users might try using chained connections, but this can involve a lot of trial and error to find a combination that will work well for your game connection. This is one of the reasons we created our automation technology, to reduce this trial and error.

Why WTFast Automation Fails
An army is only as strong as it's weakest link. Just like in LOL, if you have someone feeding, it is going to bring the team down. With regards to our WTFast GPN, we do have some weak links and many improvements can be made. Some examples of our current weaknesses include:
1. We have segmented a portion of the Internet for optimization that is relevant to us. The segment we are optimizing is popular online game servers. This means that optimization is only possible if we already have a game server on the radar. If you are playing a new game that we have not seen before, our automation will probably fail.
2. Trace obfuscation is also another significant problem. What this means is that some Internet trace data is being hidden from us, making it difficult to optimize the game connection. For example, if we cannot determine the true location of a game server, this can make optimizing the connection from end to end very difficult.
3. Temporary Internet issues can cause problems with virtually any connection. We do our best to avoid these kinds of issues, but it is impossible to predict if a node will suddenly go bad. We are working on additional tech that will help us to work around these temporary issues.

We are making some really amazing tech, and we continue to improve on the intelligence and automation. It is not perfect though. If you find our automation does not work for you, just pick a server manually (a WTFast server close to the game server or close to you) and likely you will be happy with the results!
